Well Folks....never let it be said that I am not one to embrace the miracles of modern technology....haha......couple of months ago,My dad got me a simple,basic,bare-bones version of the wacom tablet.........cos he wanted me to start experimenting with drawing digitally......
So it took me ard 15-20 mins to get a hang of things by just playing around with the program.......I don't have time to really go IN-Depth and explore every single function so I play around wif it here and there when I have the time.........It'll probably take me one full day of using it to really exploit the FULL potential of this program but.....I haven't had the motivation to do so...to be perfectly honest.........well.....maybe after I ord....haha....
Below are some examples of the quick doodles I did using the wacom tablet......the pic of the old man below was my very first sketch using the Wacom tablet I did maybe 4-5 mths ago?...took around 5 mins.....plus I gave it some artificial "Digital ink wash"......

This Picture below was me trying to do a homage to the really imaginative but downright gross and whacked out art of Mad magazine artist Basil wolverton........I did it a mth and a half ago.....tried to put in some more details....give it a thick line,Graffiti-ish kinda vibe......Tried to make it as Ugly and quirky as wolverton's art.....

The things about Digital art is sadly....It ain't have the intimacy of normal Pencil and ink art........seriously....the best darn God-given tool every created for drawing is your own pair of hands.......

If You notice...both drawings are head shots because the program I have ,ust don't have a fine enough line to do full-body figures and also no lines in this two drawings are straight or curved...it's just a combinations of quick,disjointed,jagged lines due to the constraints of the program......

You know my hands shake sometimes....due to excessive drawing or maybe some other activities......or not....hahhaha....but NEVER is my hand more firm and steady then when I'm drawing....I swear man....Not the sligtest bit of shaking.....my lines are precise and firm and when I lay down my inks...I don't miss the mark...only when I'm drawing...

In short, I think using Digital programs can be helpful,but only to enhance existing art.......I'll use it to color my art,do touch ups and maybe use digital backgrounds but I still prefer to do all the art by hand........smelling the ink,ruling out the panels,erasing and holding the final piece of physical artwork in your hand....I'm interested in using it to create backgrounds like buildings,model planes and vehicles and other architectures though...the cold/inorganic feel of digital art is well suited to stuff like that......Still nothing like Old school drawing though......this digital drawing programs are artificial crutches that blurs the line between people who can actually draw and those who can't draw worth a damn when faced with a blank sheet of paper....

Anyway...........Had a small Barbeque on tuesday with the poly gang.......the BBQ was to commemorate...to celebrate.....errr........NOTHING!?!!........Wenjun and Gerald brought some strawberries and cheese,Huiling brought Garlic and a big bottle of Whine....n Felix brought his tummy...hahhaha......As usual copious amounts of cheese and mushrooms were consumed by all and Felix demonstrated a disturbing fetish for squid that would have rivalled any sailor's.......hahhaha......some old incidents were brought up and some past embarassing moments were brought out to the light once again.....hahaha

I really enjoyed the story about how I became enemy number one in my Poly class after I refused to blow Flour all over my face and grab some whateverthingamajig for one of our orientation games........and Stunned everyone into pure silence when I brought Transparencies to a All-Power point presentation....hahhahaha....prompting Florence Chia to call me "Queer".....hahahhaha

Man I haven't thought about those incidents for years...haha....I did'nt know that the flour blowing incident was the source of much hatred....hahhahah.....Guess everybody was BLOWN away by my spontaneity that day!!....hahhaa.......I do have a much better idea of the transparency incident........hahha.....It was the first time I pulled Felix's ass from the fire.....I did the project alone and Felix was kinda played out by Mixin,Caihong and Rachel who shrugged when asked my Florence Chia whether Felix was from their group....so completing my good deed for the decade,I told the Wicked witch of the west that Felix was INDEED "MY partner" on project and he got whatever marks I received.....haha...it was after that incident that we started hanging out and discovered that we shared a love for mocking fat people,lecturers and watching Jacky Wu variety shows.....hahhaha...Yow Siew Yong's fate was Sealed that very day....hahaha

And..................once again.....after the BBQ....the feedback I got from my mum is absolutely bizarre............hahahaha...it's like she met different people then I did........I met a pack of she-demons and she met Charlie's angels themselves......hahha

Apparently here's the latest .......Wenjun seem "cheerful, independent and really know how to think for her parents" and apparently her personality reminds my mum of my younger cousin....

The problem is my younger cousin is a soft-spoken girl,saves money and gives it to her parents and would never break any of my ribs....hahhahah.......wenjun? She was the one who introduced me to brand new kinds of pain i never encounted before her.......My Pain Threshold and the amount of physical punishment can be divided into two eras: B.C and A.C (Before Chua And After Chua)...hahhahha

And Huiling.........damn.....she suddenly became so darn helpful that day....while everybody was in my room,she was still below clearing dishes and whatever.......say what?!What Am I hallucinating after eating too much carbon from the grill?hahahha...I thought I was the one always doing the helping?! The 28 microsoft project documents in my folder can back me up....hahaha

My Mum said "Your friend is very helpful,lovely and friendly person hor"..........I said "My ass!"......hahhaha.......nah I did'nt say that but I just looked at my mum in disbelief......."Are you sure we're talking about the same person here?!".........."Yar the cashew height girl"........WTH....that puts the "T" in Toe-tal BULLSHIT!!ahhaha

I should have taped it down man......pure comedy.....My mum was talking about about her like she was the 13th reincarnation of the one true Penchen Lama from Tibet himself!!!Next time I will have to scatter rice and rose petals and offer prayers to herald the arrival of the enlightened one herself....hahha

Mummy...I told you that you should'nt have eaten all that burnt food.......Carbon can cloud your senses......or did my recent phone bill drive you over the edge hahhahah.......the next time these fellas come,she'll probably think that they're so purein spirit they can walk on water....hahaha....they're angels mummy..........Angels of death!!!.....hahhaha

Oh and also apparrently Felix has lost some weight again...................hahahha......based on the amount of times my mum has said that felix has lost weight.....Felix would probably be Gerald's size now and should be wearing Osh-Kosh B'gosh Kids wear the next time you see him...hahhah

After the Barbeque,I showered and plopped myself in front of the tv....I managed to finish watching "Something's got to give" starring Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson. What Can I say....I was pleasantly surprised.....It was a great romantic comedy...one of the best I seen, not your typical sappy love story with Good looking leads but Two,intelligent,mature individuals past their prime who fall in love in a bizarre set of circumstances......Jack Nicholson is an incredible actor,he's not good looking but he just got this charisma and Charm....he's reputedly bedded hundreds of women in his time....man.....haha.. and I loved Diane Keaton's work since she starred with Aal Pacino in the Godfather films. The scenes with her Crying and laughing and crying hysterically after a fall out with Jack Nicholson is some funny shit.Good film.smart and charming.

On a side note......my new pass office juniors have arrived and their standards are really quite horrific.....still its nice to have my own Protege(Men Tu)...hahah.....by the time I'm done with them....no bangla worker and fat base personnel will escape their unforgiving and unrelenting sarcasm...hahhahah.....can't wait!!...haha

Well anyways Felix is going to ORD REALLY soon....he should be clearing his off and leave in a few weeks time........All the best to him,he's more then earned it.......he can ORD with his head held up high....since he enlisted in NS,he's never been one to chao keng and shirk away from responsibilities given to him and he's completed and attended all aspects of training that's been required of him instead of trying to worm his way outta tough times....so good for him,because at the end of the day...we don't answer to our seargents or officers....we have to answer to ourselves because at the end of the day nobody knows whether you've put in your best or whether you've tried to take the easy way out every time better then ourselves...I've had full attendance for my BMT,Rp Course and 3 Seperate OJTs and the people I respect and trust to watch my back in times of danger? The guys who went through all the same shit with me and suffered all the shit times together...not the pussies who report sick 3-4 times a month...
So Dude......You done all that is required of you as a soldier,you even survived your semi-mystical descent into madness(what do you call a sexually confused bear?...Bi-polar!!!hahaha) and you even got appointed best service man of the month once......hahha...now you can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and I'm really really glad for you....I'm counting down to my own ORD myself..haha......so take care,take a bow and Salute!!

Helllooooo ThERE!!......It's me.... back again for yet another post!!........haha....This time it's gonna be a short one.......I Really,really promise...hahha....just some random stuff and funny bits....Everything has been nice and quiet for this entire month,plus I've been staying at home to save some money until my coming payday so there ain't nothing major to blog about....which I'm am grateful as hell for...cos everytime I have something major to blog about it usually involves cars receiving substantial damage to the rooftops or laptops flying off tables and its screen shattering into a hundred shards which in turn results in me losing an obscene amount of money.......hahahha........so I'm pleased to say that all is good lo these past few weeks....I think It's good karma,for being kind and generous with my time and money to my friends and colleagues......hahhaha......don't mind if I give myself a nice pat in the back........hahaha....
Alright enough of the small talk...let's get down to business........Seen the movie 300? Good flick and all....but now that the film has been released and made a nice wagon full of cash at the box office...have you wondered what happened to its main star.....King Leonidas himself?!
Surely you did'nt think that he would let somethings like being shot thrice in the chest,once in the crotch and ass and twice in both legs put him permanently outta the picture right?...hahhaha....Well I got curious.....so i did some digging on the web.....Turns out that the good King is working hard to make ends meet ,working part time in a dozen different jobs and has been putting his loud ass voice and infamous Catchphrase to good use in all of them...........here's some pics of him that I found........What a multi-talented bugger........hahahaha....He's fallen on some tough times.....haha......but Lookit his impressive Resume!!!........
