Yessiree.....yet another post from yours truly....this one is going to be a short,art-related post....... The Completed Drawing....
A week or so ago,when Huiling,Wenjun and me met up for.......errr.....shopping....for Kuromi products throughout town......hahhaa....we started trailing off and talking about Nick names......anyway Huiling had previously gave Wenjun the nick name "Geeky Vampire" and I suggested that since Huiling's idea of recreation involves her downloading free movies and drama serials off the web.....she should be a pirate.....and since that picky fella ONLY downloads DVD QUALITY MOVIES...... She should just call herself "Picky Pirate"......hahha
So flashforward to A few days ago.....Wenjun called me up at 10.30pm and told me to go read her blog,cos she had updated it with some anime-ish artwork she drew of herself and Huiling.......as the Geeky vampire and Picky pirate...since I was in camp and had a 6 hrs long duty starting in 3 hrs time....I just mumbled that I would go look at her new posts when I got home and promptly went to bed.....
Well anyway my duty started at 2am.....and since it was going to last for the next 6 hours.....I started watching Al Pacino's Serpico on the office computer and I remembered about Wenjun telling about her drawings.....so I took a piece of A4 paper,some pens and highlighters and began to doodle my idea of what a Picky Pirate and Vampire would look like....
Many people might not know.....but I started off being A BIGGER fan of Jap comics then English comics...I was an Avid Reader of Akira Toriyama's DragonBall since I was in primary one all the way till Primary 6.......and I still have a HUGE soft spot for them........and a few months ago,for the sheer heck of it ....I pencilled this 2 page Gag strip featuring a anime-ish version of a well-known american comic character(Not Batman lar!),that I drew completely in the "Big eyes,Button nose" manga style except for the last panel where I had the character,drawn in the normal american comic style comment about how much he hates manga....hahha......so since I did some research before drawing the 2 pages......switching to the "Manga" style for this pin-up was pretty easy....
Since I don't have a scanner...here's some pics of what I drew..........The preliminary rough sketches.....
Before you start on ANY drawing....You gotta start doodling and putting your rough ideas to paper by sketching and refining whatever's in your mind.......so this is my first crude doodles I did in my office...... Geeky Vampire was actually going to be a western vampire but I thought that the Chinese vampire would be a cuter version to draw.....I also did some Joke-ish drawings of Davy Jones and Sao Feng too.......
I really like the rough sketches I did.....I thought whatever ideas I had came out quite well on paper....and i thought It would be a fun piece to work on....so I went back home and drew a quick but complete drawing of The Geeky Vampire and Picky Pirate......there wasn't much pre-planning and I added things spontaneously as I went....took me longer then expected though...5 hrs of my freaking life!!....hahha...and I even Threw in Davy Jones in the background cos I really LIKED the Takopachi Davy Jones that I doodled....hahaClose-up of Davy "Takopachi" Jones......
I drew Davy jones in really THICK lines because I wanted him to look almost exactly like the cartoon mascot of the popular Takopachi balls outlet.....and I wanted to change the skull emblem on his hate to differentiate it from Picky Pirates...so I did a skeletal star-fish..
Huiling A.K.A "The Picky Pirate"
This is Huiling as the Picky Pirate complete with Jack Sparrow breads,big-ass hoop earrings she likes to wear....skull-handled sabre and perched on her arm is her cute little pet Sparrow.....called.... Jack!!!
Wenjun A.K.A "The Geeky Vampire"
I decked her out in classic Chinese Vampire duds....tiny fangs,sharp claws,flock of pet bats,big-ass geeky specs, a top hat with bushy cotton ball and Smiley face.....and originally I wanted the emblem on the chest to be her SirName "Chua" in chinese....but I did'nt know how to write "Chua" in chinese....hahaha...so I put in a Dragon emblem....
A little Hair Ball.......
When I did the drawing....towards the end....I wondered out loud how would I look if I were to draw myself as a cartoon character......since being the artist of this piece....drawing myself in would be quite self-indulgent and since I hate manga.....I decided to draw this tiny Human Hair ball at the extreme right hand coner of the drawing which would be 90% close to how I would interpretate myself as a cartoon character....hahaha

Alright Folks.......I'M BACK for a Big,Fat,Picture intensive and Text -unintensive post........about Felix Sit Zi Ping's 22nd Birthday!!!!.And.......What a day it was............the gang met up at 11.45 at Harbor front and the entire activity lasted till about 10pm..........damn shagged at the end of it..........but it was fun, a nice,meaty outing...............something outdoors and different then the usual activities we do.........or as felix intends it to be "One last Hurrah before the girls enter the working world".........and it was organized by Felix himself......with some structural assistance of course.....hahhaa.......I think overall it was a successful outing............we had fun...took a lot of funny pictures,enjoyed each other's company and swore off doing another outdoor activity for the next year at least....hahhaa..........the day started with a picnic with everybody contributing an item, wenjun brought Fried chicken,Potatoe salad and Chestnut drinks, Huiling brought pancakes with cheese and no syrup..haha....Gerald brought Sandwiches, I brough Sheperd's pie and Felix brought some balls and clam chowder...........then after that we started taking pictures at the beach and went cycling around the beach, took the skyride way up and raced down on Luges and finally we ended the day with Dinner and the traditional present-opening ceremony in AGI at Vivocity.......yeah.....it was a substantial outing.....But Pictures speak louder then words so here are some of the pictures we took,culled from my camera and Felix's..........with some Director's commentary on each pic by Yours truly of course.....hahaha.

Oh Well......No point crying over spilled milk.....~sniff~Felix always wanted to bury a time capsule in Sentosa...well in the end I guess he got his ass buried in sentosa instead..

Alright now that the pics of Felix's Birthday is over and done with......here are some additional pictures from my workplace..........you know all those crazy stories about army that everybody has? The funny thing is that as bizarre and over the top as they sound......I think most of them are true.....hahhaah.....From RPs dancing at checkpoints or playing base ball with squashed up balls of bread and a handheld metal detector as a Bat....I've SEEN some crazy shit in my NS life......Case in point.....
Wonder what I was doing at work prior to Felix's Birthday outing? Well I was doing counter Duty from 10 pm to 3 am..........I was planning to rest for 4 hrs after that and book out at 7am and meet up Felix and the rest by 11am that day........but things just don't go necessarily to plan do they?
I finished duty at 3am........and my Colleague Timothy anxiously woke me up barely 2 hrs later at 5am....he told me that he just locked himself out of the office and that the door was stuck......and like a half-deranged Jack Nicholson from the movie "The Shining" or some psycho from a crazy slasher flick he was HACKING away at the door with a metal shovel in the wee hours of the morning.....apparently he wanted to hack a whole through a door that was wide enough for his arm to reach through and open the lock.....
Man.....when I saw the door splintered and damaged with holes in it and chunks of splintered wood on the floor.....I thought I was freaking dreaming man.....damn....My nuts went straight up to my throat.........took me a while to just snap out of it.....borrow a bayonet from my RP friend and unlatch the lock with the most minimal of effort.......and when the dorr was unlocked...Timothy just gave me this look that seem to said:"Soooooo .....maybe Hacking the door into pieces was a tad too hasty,no?"........No shit Sherlock!!!.......
Here then are some of the Damage control efforts performed by my co-worker to conceal his insane attack on our poor pass office door.......he stuck cardboard signs all over the door with clear tape to mask the holes.....
"I'm just a door.Please be gentle with me!:)"???!?!??!......errr.....he did'nt exactly practice what he preached did he....hahhaa......this is clearly the work of a deranged but funnily creative and twisted mind......hahaha

Just got home from the Kinokuniya storewide sale........20% off!!and I finally bought the Authorised Biography of Al Pacino.......I finished Robert Deniro's Biography two weeks agao and I just finished reading Marlon Brando's biography.......so now it's time for Al!!!!HOOO WAAAH!! Its real interesting reading their biographies.........some of their life stories is just as interesting as the onscreen characters they play.......alcholic parents,absent father,bi-sexual parents cum starving artists....good stuff......interesting reading material...
I also just finished the movie "The Awakening's" starring Robert Deniro and Robin williams....its based on a true story of a rare mental epidemic that ravaged people in the 30's........they just become these living but unmoving vegetables .......and when Robin williams administer's a new revolutionary drug,L-Dopa to the patients they begin awakening from their vegetative states.......like Robert Deniro who has been comatose for 30 years since he was a young boy.........the scene where he awoke after 30 years and embraced his mum made my mum tear up siar!!!........but she kept claiming she was not.....women!!hahaha.......Very touching movie....with a sad,sad end........Robert Deniro is such a great actor because he is not self-conscious at all and don't mind acting like a total retard in front of the camera......no holding back at all.......its amazing.........only two person I know can behave mentally ill so convincingly.....is Robert deniro and......Felix.....only difference is...one of em is a millionaire and the other get minimum wage like me!hahah
Fun Fact:Wenjun can walk really fast when there's something she really wants to buy....like how she made me and Huiling walk at fast-ass speed from Shaw House to Takashimaya because she wanted to buy her kuromi junk...hahaha
Got my replies for my University applications for the local unis.........hahaha....here's a run down, I got accepted by SIM,turned down by SMU and I think NTU and NUS are lost causes.........apparently the only people I know who got accepted in NUS and NTU have scores of 3.6 and above........and SMU replied saying that only 1800 places are available and 13000 candidates applied.............but I think they were trying to make me feel better......because I could have sworn that they arrived at their decision due to my astonishingly Outstanding CCA record......hahahha
To be honest......I kinda like SIM's campus environment the best....its so near to my house and Ngee ann and kinda feels like an extension of Poly life........and wasn't like the absolutely MASSIVE campuses of NTU and NUS.......hahaha.....but as for how good an RMIT degree is comapred to NTU,NUS or SMU.....hahahha....well.........let's just say I'll be closely monitoring the Girl's Job hunting progress,they'll be my guinea pigs.....hahaha if they get nice jobs in record time and that SIM graduates are in high demand then Excellent!!! If they're still jobless after a year then......errr....I think its time to migrate.....hahaha...UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND HERE I COME!!!
Now I'm currently sorting out my leave and off and organizing my schedule to see if I can make it in time to attend the term that's starting in July.....hahaha...if I can.....then Felix and I will be Classmates again and Let all Fat girls BEWARE for the dynamic duo has returned!!......ahahha
Yeah......so you folks don't have to call me and ask if I'm ok.......I'm fine.....>sob<.........really....I..I.......I'm a big boy....>SOB< .......I'm so Totally not bothered by the SMU thingy..........so TOTALLY..........>SNIFF,SNIFF,SNIFF<......>sob<............oh well......there's an open window in front of me and a chopper on my desk.......so I guess it's time to end my post........Bye Folks......This me signing off........one last time....
