Alright I'm back again....I haven't blogged for so long that I freaking forgot my blogspot password...hahha......but Now its Time for another JUMBO-SIZED update........its been a pretty relaxing and interesting few weeks ....a lot of stuff to cover .....so for those stuff that happened weeks ago...I just breeze through em instead of going into detail ....y' know...for the sake of the sanity of my dear readers and myself.....hahaha....

Ok....first of all.old news: on 15th may....me,Huiling,Liang Jie,Geraldine,Wenjun,Ben, candy and Sebastian celebrated Felix's 20th birthday at East Coast.......I thought my birthday was bad....but Felix's takes the cake liao..LITERALLY!!...hhahahaha......he ended up getting smashed in the cake, sprayed wif whip cream, have ice shoved down his crotch area, his butt and the back of his shirt....and that's just the appetizer...,after that we treated him to a nice cup of coke mixed with back pepper marinate and dumped him into the sea....twice...hahhaha.....well he wanted an unforgettable birthday...and that's what we gave him...ain't that wat friends are for??hahaha...plus when we played the King's Game.....felix ended up dancing Du De Wei's "Twor Diao" and he did some crazy-ass Numa-Numa Yea dance on the table........as for the dance I had to do with him..........er.....forget about that....It AIN'T NEVER HAPPENED!!

Next up for Vesak Day...I went with my parents and my aunty to the Kong Meng San Temple at Bishan ( that's the Han Yu Pin Ying name......in case you think I spelt it wrong I assure you I took the spelling straight from the Young Buddhists newsletter some guy passed to me...so if the spelling its wrong...dun blame me...blame the young buddhists and their bad Han Yu Pin Ying...haha) to take in the atmosphere of Vesak Day and most important of all.......quite a nice experience.......almost hypnotic siar....hearing them play those buddhist chantings over and over again...but it was also strangely relaxing at the same time..........also i saw the "Three steps one Bow" thingy that the buddhist devotess did...where they basically walked one round around the entire temple and for every three steps, they would get on the knees and bow on the ground.....the walk lasted between 2-3 hrs and since it was raining earlier...most of them were drenched from head to toe......I even saw this little girl who could'nt be older then 4 or 5 doing the walk.........even though I ain't no buddhist...it was inspiring to see such devotion to a cause the people believed in.....damn and before I forget I gotta tell you guys about my Vesak Day Miracle!!!!......

Basically I seldom splurge on myself or pamper myslef with luxury items...even if I do........they are few and far between.........my only-indulgence in life is comics or comics-related stuff....so anyways a high end item I really wanted was coming out 3 weeks after vesak day.....the super jam-packed cool-as-hell,nicer then-yo-ma-ma Batman the animated series Volume 3 boxed set was coming out......I already own the previous two volumes and they came out some time after my industrial training program attachment at F&N...so I could afford them..........but for this set I was completely dry as hell,my funds were completely depleted by then cos from January I spent one huge assload of money on gifts, presents and other stuff for Valentine's day gifts for friends, Birthday presents,etc........and before I knew it I had spent all my chinese New Year money and the remainder of my pay on all those stuff....leaving me penniless to buy anything remotely nice for myself..........so 2 days before vesak I was still thinking just how in Hell am I gonna afford a $90 boxed set with the measely $30 a week I get......since that $30 barely cover a single outing for the whole week..........then the divine Miracle happened.....on vesak Day,I was at the temple with my folks and aunty and then when my parents went to the toilet, my aunty suddenly approached me and gave me $100 in cold hard cash........out of the freaking blue she just gave me $100!!!........my prayers were answered.........turns out that my aunty won the lottery and gave all her nieces and nephews some cash each.......of course I did'nt accept it starightaway lar...cos I might be despo for Batman but I don't like taking money even if its free.....but she kept on pushing it into my pockets so I was like what the hell ...maybe its a divine celestial gift from Buddha to reward the kindness i have shown throughout the year......hahahha.......not that I like praising myself but for 2005 I have been extremely generous to everyone,Hardworking, have done nothing wrong to anyone, have been very helpful and NEVER turned down anyone who requested my help...be it people I am very familliar with or those I'm not that close to.......so the $100 was the good karma I deserved (or so I told myself to justify accepting the money from my aunt..hahhaha).......plus it happened on Vesak Day man....what a coincidence....an effing miracle is what it is I tells Ya....an EFFING MIRACLE!!

After that Miraculous heavenly incident.....another big event happened......after 28 long years.....The Star Wars saga is finally complete.....I caught the final Star Wars movie EVER.....Revenge of the Sith...hahha........Y'k now somepoeple don't get Star Wars at all...they don't know what's the appeal at all but that's because they ever grew up watching the films since they were kids......I tell you man......because of my close emotional attachment to the old Star Wars movies....every Star Wars movie I catch in the theatre is akin to a religious experience for me...hahhaha....every Star Wars movie opening day to me is like Vesak Day to the Buddhists or Christmas Day to the Christians or Thaipusam to the Indians..........Abso-freaking-lutely Spiritually Fulfilling!!!!!I Freaking attain Geek Nirvana after every damn Star Wars flick I tell ya!.....hahhaha.......

I have very, very vivid and fond memories of watching the old Star wars trilogies back when I was in Kindergarten, my mom had these super old VHS tapes of the 3 Star Wars films and after she picked me up from Kindergarten, she would just pop the old Star Wars VHS tapes into the video player to keep me occupied or give me a stack of paper and color pencils to draw while she started preparing for dinner or cleaned up the house....and while the defining movie trilogy for kids these days may be Matrix or the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.....Star wars was no doubt the defining movies of my youth man.........when I first saw the Star Wars Film.....it was a effing big eye-opener...I went from Watching stuff like Cookie Monster,Ernie,Bert and Count Duckula to watching these huge ass space ships blasting each other and all sorts of bizarre aliens.....blew me away man.........my favorite catch phrase went from Sesame Street's Count Dracula's "Ala-peanut-butter-sandwiches" to "May the Force be with You."...hahhahah......

I must have watched each film like 60-70 times to date.........after watching Star wars,it really helped me develop alot of my artistic sensibilities and broaden my horizons......cos before that I was always drawing Houses with chimneys and clouds or dinosaurs and after Star Wars, I began drawing these complex space battles with all sorts of ships battling it out in space with Magic pen and color pencils........ I also spent countless afternoons at home roleplaying holding my father's black Mag-lite torch-light pretending it was my lightsabre, with my long purple blanket safety-pinned to my shirt, pretending it was a cape and that I was Darth Vader.........I even forced my mom address me as Lord Vader otherwise I would ignore her constant calls for me to eat my dinner...ahhahaa.....yup and I always pretended my Father's Blue Honda car was Darth Vader's Imperial shuttle everytime my dad drove me and my brother out to Jurong West Esso to grab a hotdog......yup the mighty Darth Vader going to Esso for a Hotdog sounds very likely indeed....hahahah....I'm glad the Prequel trilogy is finally over, even though I did'nt like the two prequels Episode 1 and 2 very much...I though Episode 3 was the best of the bunch....and I still get Goosebumps everytime the Stars wars logo Blasts onscreen with John William's fantastic musical score playing in the background as the Opening scrawl( The words) descends on the screen..........aaaaah....sweet sweet nostalgia...hahhahah......Seriously though....I ain't no Star Wars geek......oh who the hell Am I kidding?!...I'm the ULTIMATE STAR WARS GEEK!!!...hahaha

I watched Star Wars Revenge of the Sith thrice....once with Liang Jie,once with my sec school friends and one more time with felix cause nobody wanted to accompany him to the movie..hahhaa.....I watched it thrice not because I was in love with the film...haiz but because sometimes you gotta accomodate the different groups of friends you know and make sure no group is left out or neglected in favor of another group of friends...see..I'm kind....Buddha's $100 celestial gift to me was money well-spent!!

On the same week as the week I watched Star wars, Me,Ah Liang and Felix also had a "Guy's Night out"...Huiling that fella was busy with her work so I had to take over her shift and accompany the guys...hahhaa......we went to Marine Parade for Steamboat....good stuff man......can you guess which among the three ate the most....yup....you guessed it!!hahahah

The next outing after that If I remembered correctly was yet another outing to East Coast.......one final Roller-blading trip before Liang Jie and Felix go NS and I go to Hong Kong for my 5 day holidays......both Liang Jie and Felix were damn enthusiastic about Roller-blading man....so okay lor...accompanied them to East Coast....Huiling also went cos the previous day she quit her job where she worked for some boss with menopause...hahahah......and Liang Jie's friend Jerald joined us too............but we ended up not blading much because the bloody rollerblades we rented was so uncomfortable, the entire cutting of the blades were wrong for our feet and even though the rental rate was cheap:$7 for an entire day.....within 20 mins of skating, our feet hurt like hell liao...........Liang Jie nearly died from the pain..hahhaha...and Felix's leg was effingly effing effed up.....first of all he had some blisters or sores over his toes and all over his feet when he arrived and the iodine he smeared on his toes made them look like they were like ten seconds from dropping off.........and the condition of his feet got worse after the blading session man....by then there were houseflies constantly buzzing around his toes and feet lookedlike they were freaking decomposing or something.....hahahha......after that we went Chomp Chomp to eat.......Gerald and her Du Du cum Bunz Bunz cum Boo Boo(haha) joined us after Gerald knocked off from work at 9.30 pm.....and once again my ol' pal Felix showed me that just when I thought that I had seen every disgusting thing felix could pull off..I was wrong........halfway through eating our food,he began letting out what I would call a series of continous, synchronized farts while he was eating...WOW.....eating and farting at the same time...that's what I call Multi-tasking!!!!....and the worse thing was i was seating beside him when he farted......and he happily thought everybody was oblivious to his farting...hhahahah....well I blocked the traumatizing sounds away, turned in another direction and continued eating...hahahaha...no point wasting good Chomp Chomp Seafood.....

And after the East Coast outing....off I went to Hong Kong for 5 days....27th May till 31st May.........not a bad trip I guess.....always nice to get out of Singapore for a short while and go to new places......I spent three days in Hong Kong in total....during the second day of my trip, My folks and I took a train into Sheng Zhen and stayed there for two days....

Sheng Zhen was one weird ass place......when you're on the road....all the houses to your left looked so old and worn out by to the left all the building swere all new and there was all this great looking landscapes......its like the whole place is split in two.......I gotta say that Place is full of vice man......the Government practically allows illegal activities to thrive......prostitution is rampant, an entire district of condos is populated primarily by mistresses of People from America,Hong Kong,Singapore,etc....and basically fake goods and illegal vcds are sold everywhere.........I went to this Shopping Centre and there were 600 small shops on one level with a total of five levels and almost every shop I passed was selling fake goods.....Prada,Gucci,Valentino,Louis Vutton, fake DVDs,rolexes.......scary stuff man.....the moment I walked into the shopping centre,I was like swamped by 3 china fellas trying to sell me DVDS and fake Rolexes....and they kept trailing me throughout the shopping centre all the way till the 2nd floor!!............Do I look like somebody who buy fakes vcds and goods??!!......hahha...well yes I do......but that's besides the point!!!...actually I really wanted to get me some Fake DVDS of Star Wars,Sin City,Madagascar,etc.......but the constant bugging and tailing turned me off so much that I decided to forget it....hahaha...........the tour guide was a funny chap man....I asked him: "Is it okay to bring fake DVDs back to Hong Kong and pass the China customs at the train stations without being stopped?".....and he said:" Sure You can bring back fake DVDs,just don't buy too much.......just buy a little like.....8-10 pieces can already"............WTF 8 or 10 pieces is considered little??!!...hahahaha.....I was thinking of only buying like 3 or 4 DVDs only man...

After that....went back to Hong Kong........Hong Kong is much nicer....alot of houses built on hill tops and basically every damn thing they built is linked to Feng Shui in terms of design or location........The billboards and advertisements are everywhere man..went to a lot of places there.......Tsim Tsa Shui,Fenling,The Avenue of Stars where the entire sidewalk was lined with the hand prints of famous celebs like Tony Leung and Andy lau, The Guang Ming Peak, the highest point in Hong Kong where the rich folks like Stanley Ho,Jackie Chan and Andy Lau stayed, The water themepark Ocean Park,The famous Lady's market,The floating Jumbo Seafood restaurant,YMCA,New Wwolrd centre.......that's about it.....not much time to shop, since most of the activitis for packages tours are pre-planned by on the final day managed to have some free time to buy some souvenirs and stuff....I did'nt buy anything much for myslef in the trip in the end....just 3 vcds...hahaha.....Original unpirated vcds in fact!!

Which brings up a very interesting point...Porn is Legalised in Hong Kong!! Holy hell......every single VCD store I went to had a mandatory section dedicated completely to porn.......its pretty damn scary when u see Barney and Friends DVDS sitting beside Porn Vcds on the shelfs...also Every single Magazine stand carries sex magazines even the super prestigious one in Hong Kong airport!!......posters and brochures of Hong Kong Av girls and masssage spas are also frequently distributed all over the streets under my Hotel at night and there's this huge 24 hour sex shop with this crazy mannequin outfitted in full Bondage gear right at the entrance of my Hotel..........all this crazy erotic stuff surrounding me in Hong Kong....haiz......have I mentioned that going to Hong Kong with your parents really sucks?!?!...hahahah

So anyways came back from Hong Kong, reached Singapore at like 11.30pm.......and the next day went to meet the old gang at Cafe Cartel at Plaza Singapura for lunch.... Huiling,Gerald,Ah Liang And Felix for the last outing before they get enlisted....also celebrated Liang Jie's birthday in advance for him........wow they ate a lot at Cafe Cartel even Huiling!!! Geraldine,Liang Jie and Felix ate a huge rack of ribs each and Huiling ate this big piece of Steak........hahaha....felix dared her to finish that piece of steak by herself......and miraculously she did!!....hahaha...how unbelievably impressive that Huiling finished her main course for once..ahhaha...but after that during the night she had some weird tummy ache...haiz wat's new.....hahhaa....after lunch,I sneaked out of Cafe Cartel and got Liang Jie a Black Forest cake and then we posed for some pictures and ate the cake and gave him his present...hahaha...wat a suitable shirt man.....wah lau Liang Jie is damn lucky he had one helluva safe birthday.......the worst we did was poke the candle into the cake and ask him to pull it out with his mouth and he ended up with only some cream on his mouth.....damn lucky siar when compared to me and felix....hahha..I think Ah Liang was quite happy about the whole thing though...did'nt expect the cake and stuff..hahaha

After Lunch, we went to Settlers cafe at Clarke Quay...........its a cafe where u can play board agmes and other kinda games while having some snacks or beverages....spent like 2hrs there playing speed games, cluedo and the Game of life while eating some of the tiniest tuna wantons ever created in the history of man....hahhaa.........not bad lar the cafe, the concept is something different and unique and they had some great comicbooks for browsing there.....hahaha......Ah Liang treated us and paid for the entire thing..and we ended our day by going Liang Court Mcdonald's for dinner.......

The following day, during the night....even though I was pretty much dead tired after my flight back from Hong Kong, I met up with some of my secondary school friends Zul and Nahar, who had already been enlisted 5-6 months ago....haven't seen them in years.....one of them I haven't met since 2001.....hahaha...but when we met up, it was like no time had elapsed and we just picked up where we left off...hahha.......its great to see old friends and just catch up with each other...my secondary school class was a pretty tight-knit group and we went through all sorts of stuff together....so the level of comfort and ease we have with each other is very high even though we graduated like half a decade ago.........so Nahar drove us to East Coast, where we just chilled out till the next morning.......talked about old times, old friends, eat an assload of Mamee Snacks, drink, hear them recount how shitty their time in tekong is.....and basically just relax...............my friend zul wnt through an amazing transformation man, he used to be 130 kg and extremely flabby but he went down to a solid 90kg after 6 months in tekong........now he's really lean and in the best shape of his life....glad he's doing so well.......also I phoned up Ah Liang and Felix during that night and just chatted with them cos their enlistment was on the next day,3rd june.........

The next Morning at around 7 am......Nahar drove me and Zul to Bukit Timah for Breakfast at Al-Ameen and back home after that.........was dead tired, slept for like 2 hours before Felix called me again in the morning.....had one last long talk with him and wished him all the best for his Basic Militray training in Tekong.....then after that I stumbled down to my computer room to surf........saw Liang Jie on msn and chatted with him till about mid afternoon........and then he called me up on his way to The Pasir Ris ferry terminal and we too had one last long talk and once again I wished him the best of luck too for his NS...........an hour later, both of them smsed simultaneously......and both of them smsed me the same kind of nonsensical stuff at the same time cos it turned out that they met up with each other on the same ferry to Tekong island.....hahhahaa...........damn man they were still up to their usual nonsense even though they were like a couple of mins from entering hell....hahhahah.........so I told them both to take care and gimme a call when they come out in two weeks so we can go watch Batman Begins together.........I was so tired by then that I must have used the phrases "Take care" and "all the best" a hundred times man....hahhaha.......was supposed to sleep right after I came back from East Coast but I knew Ah Liang and Felix would call me during the morning and afternoon.....so I tahan until about 4 pm,when They reached tekong and after that I collapsed in my bed straightaway ......too damn tired liao....

I think the Two years in NS will ultimately be a useful experience for us guys.......sure Girls have a 2 year head start and lead over us...but the good thing about this two year training is that the girls have to make really quick decisions about big issues in their life almost instantaneously and they don't have a long period of time to just think about things and make their decisions...you know, its like right after Poly, they gotta go further studies and after that they have to find a job liao.......while the guys can have this 2 years to just think about things, resolve some emotional, intellectual issues they might have and just concentrate on making physical improvements on themselves.........at the end of the 2 years, the guys would be at their absolute physical peak and would have probably worked out and resolved many issues they've had before enlistment..........and will be ready to get started in their next phase in life...

Of coure there are Pros and Cons lar.....the cons being you'll be treated like dirt by Officers like 1-2 years younger then you when you're a recruit, the super chiar lat physical conditioning, the lack of anything resembling a social life outside of camp, surfing the net once a week, not being able to follow television shows, not being to catch movies on opening days, not being able to stay up late and wake up lateetc......basically its just a huge upheavel in your current lifestyle...........but My friend said the physical part is easy compared to the mental part, he says that some people just can't adjust to life in NS and the big changes they must make.......one of his bunk mate left a suicide note and swallowed 20 panadol pills a few weeks ago but miraculously survived and another person from his company keep trying to escape from tekong...the first time he hid in an army transport headed for Singapore and when he went back home, his mom calledthe army to catch him back and after that he was trasported to an individual bunker of his won complete with his own guard watching over his bunker....but he managed to escape again...he jumped from the window of his second story bunker when the guard was distracted and escape to singapore again....he was eventually caught and I heard that now he's handcuffed to his bunker....hahahha....scary shit....I do think its important to have a positive mindset......treat it like a transitional period when the Boys finally become Men......hahaha.....can You tell I'm trying to console myself??hahaha......well my time will be here soon too......I'm gonna make damn sure I'll be ready by then......

Well I really hope Ah Liang and Felix do well in Tekong and pass their physical test so they can be entitled to taking a couple of months off from Tekong........I have No doubts that ah Liang is on the verge of being able to pass his physical tests and Felix....well hope he gives it his best shot and makes it too...hahaha.....gonna miss all the good times we had crapping around together but ain't gonna miss their mentally torturous nonsense...especially from Liang Jie!!hahaha......well they'll be out in two weeks and we can go hang out then I suppose....

Ok now for informational and educational stuff....recently I have been suffering from what physicians called a "Myoclonic twitch"...now I know that none of you reading this blog have any idea what a myoclonic twitch is...basically it happens when You are like damn sleepy and tired and you just fall asleep in some awkward place like a sofa for example.....A myoclonic twitch happens when you're slowly falling asleep and your mind's wandering...and you've just begun to cross over the boundary of sleeping and waking, and in your dream......you take a step, you imagine you fall,or move an arm and in real life it twitches too and jolts you right out of you dream....I can't count the number of times I fell asleep at the sofa and suddenly in a half-asleep daze ,think I'm losing my balance or going to fall and suddenly get jolted awake......hahhaa.....now that's something new for you to digest...todays eductional blog bulletin have been proudly brought to you by the letter "M" for Multiple Myoclonic twitches....hahhaha

Now onto the Good stuff....You know the super-kick-yo-mofo-ass Batman DVD boxed set I was mentioning a few....erm..hundred paragraphs ago......I finally bought it......twenty eight Kick Ass episodes of the Batman animated series is finally MINE!!!!....at long last I now own the complete 85 episodes of the Batman animated series......I'm gonna absolutely immersse myself this week in Batman cartoons.....until my freaking retinas burst!!!hahaha

Also after a decade.......10 freaking long years.....My dad decided to replace my Faulty Air-con and on 2nd June 2005, it was the first time I slept in my very own air-conditioned room since my air-com broke down in 1995.......ahhahha.....so damn happy siar....how have I longed for this day over sleepless, humid nights with the electric fan blasting full-force on my face........Pure bliss I tell ya.....aaaaah.....Thank God for the small things in life.....they're what makes me happy....hahhaha...watching Batman DVD boxed sets and sleeping ain an air-conditioned room......life just don't get much better then this....hey wait a minute.....it does!!....how about watching Batman DVD boxed sets IN an Air-Conditioned room??!.....YEA!!!!

Well that just about covers everything that's happened in the past few weeks.......haiz... just received another nonsensical sms from Liang Jie in camp today.......I would have thought that he would be dead tired after his first day training in camp and unable to terrorize me for until at least another 2 weeks......But Boy was I wrong!!........hahaha.... somethings in life never change I guess.......

10:34 AM
