Yessir.......I'm back again for a brand new spanking post.........one of my fastest updates to date.....a mere week from my last post.....what da ya know? sometimes miracles do happen...hahhaha........well I as I'm writing this sentence....I can just foretell that this is gonna be one long ass blog post again.....felix said on his blog that expectations are a weird thing...I agree cos everyone expects my posts to be long...but I exceed all their expectations by making it even longer then they will ever expect...ahhahaha....

Alright I'm gonna be yapping about wat happen this past week, the nice prank Felix,Liang Jie and Me pulled on our best buddy...Huiling...ahha......and I'm gonna do my review of Sin City and give anybody who isn't familliar with Sin City, a refresher course in what is it all about.....yup...finally finished downloading after the sinfully long download time of 8 days......

Alright first of all.....Damn man.....On wednesday I went to see the movie"Creep" with Amanda and Liang Jie.........bad stuff......I was like shopping at IMM with my parents from Groceries when suddenly at 9pm...I get a call from Liang Jie telling me that Amanda and him are at Plaza Singapura eating asking me to join them in town...the previous Day,amanda had mentioned something about having dinner on msn but I did'nt confirm anything with her...so I was like "HUH?!!I did'nt sayI'm meeting u guys......I'm wearing some crummy t-shirt, slippers n my hairs like all messy and you want me to go town now?!I look like freaking Goondoo in slippers!!"damn lar den Ah Liang told me that they already bought movie tickets for 3 for the 9.30 show and if I din go there....amanda's money will be wasted.....so I had to ask my dad to send me down to town.......damn man...my folks were like nagging at me all the way from IMM to PS about me arranging nonsensical last minute stuff(Yeah .....like I arranged it!!hahaha).......and i managed to get there by 9.40 n by the time three of us went into the theatre the movie just started.............I gotta say Creep is one of the worst movies I've seen this year...haha.......no story at all......completely 100% Plot-free.....basically its about rats,deformed Gollum Lookalike killer called Craig , knives getting stuffed up female privates,sub way tunnels and nothing else much.........hahaha...lucky was only $6.50...........or what Craig did to his victims will be nothing compared to what I'll do to Amanda and Liang Jie...hahaha

Now onto Thursday...just got my final exams results.......not bad lar, AD for Service Management (Wwhich I kinda expected) and for IM(Which I totally did'nt expect at all), A for Buyer Behaviour(Another Big surprise considering after the exam I thought I was done for) and for World Issues( Lawrence Lai and I are tight!!!!), B+ for my Business Planning and control, B for Retail management(karma from making fun of the banglas at Mustafa for our exam case study maybe.....hahhaa) and effing effing stupid C+ for My designing promotional materials......the bloody faggotty doo dar day, Siregar and his stupid marking and high expectations....gave little Candy a D+ for the module....her first D......damn...must be all the anal action that sissy boy Siregar is getting.....that's why he always being such a critical and whiny ass....

Well end at of the day....this is probably my second best term, the best being my 2 nd term for Year 2...where my results were pretty good.......so dunno how siar when all the results for the past three years are consolidated......hope can go into a reasonably reputable local University like SMU perhaps....but I kinda doubt it.....I may have gotten quite a few A's and AD's and B+'s more so then the times I got C's( two or three times over 3 years) or D's (once)......but bottom line I still don't think its good enough to get into the better local Universities......bloody SMU still got personal interviews, persoanl essays to go through and also they place a heavy emphasis on CCA before you can get admitted.....they said in their website that they want Students who will help improve and elevate the environment of SMU.....elevate?! Hell I'm the man to freaking elevate the studying environment with all my mockery,pranks and sarcasm.......no fat girl in SMU will be safe from my unending mockery I promise....how's that for elevating things?!hahhaa......yeah....maybe They'll accept me into the school based on my wonderful personality alone.........yup.... that's about as possible as Pigs flying...or felix not being hungry or Huiling being able to organize an outing...which is to say..hmmm....IMPOSSIBLE!!!hahaha..

So after I checked my results in the morning and checked on how my other friends did....me and Felix went down to Serangoon to meet Liang Jie who brought us to his club at serangoon...which was very near Chomp Chomp food centre......shiok man....we did like one hour of gym,den another hour in the jacuzzi talking crap, another hour swimming and 30 mins in the sauna........and after that we went to Chomp Chomp for dinner.....ain't that the life....hahhaa......the downside to it was straining my srm muscles and one of my leg msucles after the workout...wah....now my arm cannot be like flexed straight cos of the strain(imagine chicken wings and you get the idea)....N i'm walking with a slight limp in one leg.......so if you see me walking on the street...no I'm not doing my impression of a partially-limping chicken .....hahha

So anyway on to the prank on my dear ol' buddy,Ah ling....hahhaha....Funny stuff...this is a detailed breakdown of our Big return to the Good' ol Poly Pranking days.....too long have Huiling not lived up to her nick of Sucker-ling...It was time to change this...hahha..the three of us went chomp chomp for dinner and after dinner while we were chatting...Huiling smsed Liang Jie to ask him how he did for his exams.....so Felix being...well...Felix....hahaha...came up with the idea to get LJ to sms her telling her that he failed his Buyer Behavior module cos we were all sure that she'll fall for it......and after that Felix would follow that up by smsing her telling her to call him quickly because he just heard that LJ had failed... and after that the three of us would discuss on msn on how to execute the prank when we got back home.....

So she called felix up while me and felix were travelling home and being the Oscar-winning actor that he is.....he gave a very convincing performance and convinced her that Liang Jie was not lying and it was not a joke......and after that Liang Jie called her to pour out his woes to her while simultaneously consulting with us online on what to do........hahaha....me and felix were warning Liang jie not to giggle or laugh during his talk or our plans were gonna be all in vain......cos while me and felix were professionally trained actors...we haven't seen LJ's acting...we were not quite sure he could pull it off....boy were wrong!!!hahahaa....he totally exceeded all our expectations!!...

By the end of his hour long conversation wif Huiling.....she was complelety convinced he really failed his BB exams.....plus after getting such wonderful online advice from felix on MSN such as "Forget your Conscience....Go all the way....No sweat man!!!"..ahahhaha....after all that advice...he totally exceeded our expectations and went beyond the call of duty to convince Huiling.....telling her that Jonas Lee dun really bother about him failing,how he is trying to appeal and pay to see his results, how he is afraid to tell his parents about it and man!!!Ah Ling totally lived up to her nick name of Sucker-ling by believeing all that and believeing that LJ is having very depressing and suicidal thoughts.....ahhahahaa.....damn man me and felix were laughing on msn.....enjoying ourselves.....hahaha

Then after talking to Liang Jie,Huiling called me up....hahaha...she said she din know how to comfort Liang Jie and she was like alittle afraid cos she dunno how to respond to his questions....hahaa.....so as I was talking to her.....damn lar felt a little bad abt pranking her..Liang Jie felt so too.......she was saying how she dunno how to respond to Liang Jie's sad words, how she haven't even bathe after coming back from work at 9 plus and how she is beginning to muttering to herself when she toked to him..hahhaha....awww...damn...I'm soft!!!!.....DAMN THIS THING CALLED A CONSCIENCE!!!!!!....

So after that I told her to go bathe and I was talking to the guys......told them that she really is kinda scared and that our small prank is suddenly like expanding into this huge,big elaborate prank......and that maybe we should tone down all the exaggeration.....hahaha......so LJ called me lar...and we both agreed that we felt kinda bad and how huiling is a nice and naive girl....and we were like making use of her naivete...hahaha...damn man...Liang Jie said that he was very very touched by her and that she is a very,very nice girl.....made Huilng sound like freaking Mother theresa sia!!hahahah..................at that time felix began to feel a little bad too..haha...damn funny cos nobody was responding to him on msn cos me and LG were on the phone......and he wasn't such wat was going on...hahha...at first he was all like:"Damn man...hahahah...This is effing fun...I'm effing excited about tommorrow!!!!".....after I told him on msn that the prank is getting alittle too big he was like:" Aye Dudes...wat's happening??! Somebody call me quick!!!......knn Huiling gonna hate me for this!!..."...hahahahhaaa....me and LJ were laughing at felix's sudden change of heart man...funny stuff....

Then I told them lar that if I know Huiling...she won't be angry when we reveal that everything is a prank.....but we should kinda provide some compensation like buying her some small stuff or buying her a meal when we met up with her the following day......because we would feel much better and absolve ourselves of our sins for pulling the prank on her........haiz....DAMN OUR CONSCIENCE ONCE MORE!!!!.........

so anyways felix called me and said:" Aye dude.....I know I suggested this prank..but knn....How do we end it??!!"....hahahahha...shit man....hahaha......after coming out wif the prank...felix had no idea how to tie every thing up neatly...hahaha....we effing spent 30 mins talking about it......I came up wif really detailed and elaborate plans on the 'Big reveal" siar for felix toexecute........ahha...seriously detailed.....came up with the place( must be a restaurant that billed its customers instead of getting customers to pay upfront cos Huiling is shy about people tpaying for her..ahhaha...we chose the ramen shop at Far east), the precise and suitable time frame to tell her( The time where we would chat in the restuarant...between after we had our lunch and before the bill came...so when the bill came after the "Big reveal" everything will be just nice..) and also that Liang Jie must be the one to suggest the ramen restaurant(Cos I figured that since huiling thinks he failed and is so sad..I know that whetever restaurant he suggest,huiling will go along with his choice...hahaha)...............

Not only that I had to come up wif a freaking script on the spot,through the phone for Felix........FElix..If you're reading this...DUN BE STARTING NO PRANKS ANYMORE......cos it seems I always have to come up wif the escape plans for you in the end..hahaa(Yup.....remember the vcd smuggling at KL, Mr " I'm a master smuggler who suddenly got cold feet"??...hahaha)....so anyway I told him to slowly talk about exams stuff when we chat after lunch....den suddenly out of the blue say something outrageous to throw Huiling Off and give her a hint like"Ah Liang...You Fail..FAIL lar!!!!!SHI NIAN HOU,HAI SI Yi TIAO HAO HAN!!!(Rough Translation:10 years later you'll still be as good as new)"...hahha...and den finish things off by asking her "Huiling..let me ask you a question...does a guy who just went gym,jacuzzi,swimming and sauna and finish off by going to Chomp Chomp for a big meal seem like someone who failed his exam.......cos it isn't!!!...that was precisely what me,barry and LJ did yesterday!!....hahahhaa......felix even rehearsed his script lines three times on the phone...haha and and everything went according to plan for the "Big reveal" the next day...haha...My favorite part was when the 3 of us did Huiling's trademark Pose and phrase "YEA!!!" after we told her it was just all a prank...hahaha

Bottom Line: This was the worst prank ever...wanted to have some laughs.......hahaha....but we ended up having to buy Huiling a meal and wasting hours coming up with a delicate and feasible escape route outta the prank(Thanks Felix!) when we could have been sleeping...hahaha.....damn lar but I guess Huiling got her revenge....she tricked us a total of 3 times between saturday and friday.......first she tricked and whined about watching that Vin Diesel Flick:The Pacifier" which was a complete kiddy flick and waste of money......and it was quite touching...well only to Kat I guess.....haha...cos ain't nobody else cried during the movie.......well Maybe I did....AFTER SPENDING $8.50 AND 2 HRS OF MY TIME ON THAT CRAPPY FLICK!!!........Secondly she tricked us into going to Ginza Plaza, where she told us had this super shop with lots of anime for rental.......she made it sound like the freaking Taj Mahal of Anime..haha...but it turned out to be some comic rental shop with only a small section of anime man...I'm serious......when I first walked into the store..I could'nt see any anime at all...only Jap and chinese comics........Plus Ginza had nothing much to walk so it was another waste of time......and thirdly after we returned to Clementi central from Ginza.....she tricked us to go KTV for singing...by daring us......damn lar....that is one huge ass prank.......we ended up having to sing for 4 hrs from 5 pm to 9pm and spent a total of $46 for the whole thing....some chips, a teeny plate of fruits and a drink each......hahhaha.....

Bottom line: Me,felix and Liang Jie are not the master tricksters....Huiling is.......we tricked her once and she retaliated by tricking us thrice over two consecutive days........after thinking abt The pacifier,Ginza plaza and 4 hrs of KTV...suddenly my conscience seemed to have disappeared......hahahaa.....hell....now I need a serious amountof cash flow injection cos of the past few days .......I'm running out of Ker-ching ker-ching.....

Alright Its time for my Sin City Review......first of all lemme give any newbies to Sin City some background information on the comic.....basically Sin City is the creater-owned comic by Frank Miller( My favorite Comic artist EVER) that he first started doing in the early 90's.......its a Black and white comic series that is completely written,pencilled,inked,lettered by Frank Miller himself.......every few years Frank Miller does a Sin City Comic series lasting a few issues...and there's been a total of seven Sin City story collections so far.......I have 5 0f them and have read all the 7 stories....in case you don't know who Frank Miller is.......he's the guy who made Daredevil Popular,created Elektra, totally rejuvenated Batman from this corny guy in a cape to this scary,dark,obsessive vigilante and he wrote the script of Robocop 2 and 3 movies.........yeah..he's also a multiple comics award winner and basically the highest paid and most respected writer/artist in the US comics industry.... he even gets a small appearance in the movie as a Padre in the church who gets killed....

Ok to start things off, Sin City is actually aifctional city in the US called Basin City...but it got the name Sin City because Sin City is famous for their strip clubs,prostitutes and tough guys.........the whole City is runned by this evil family called the Roarks....first there's Cardinal Roark( Sin City's version of the Pope....only he's a cannibal) and then there is his corrupted Brother Senator Roark and lastly senators Roark's son Roark Junior (A pedophile rapist)...anyway the Roark Family has been in power for hundreds of years in Sin City and they had the idea to make Sin City the ultimate place for Sex and Booze...so they imported the prettiest Hookers all over the world from France and other countries and people basically visit sin city to get thier wildest dreams fulfilled...hhaa....and then the early generation of hookers gave birth and generation after generation the hookers have thrived in sin city.....Here are the main parts of Sin City you need to know:

1) Old town- the part of Sin City that is completely runned by hookers, they have a truce with the police and they enforce their own laws in this part of town....so they can basically kill anybody who messes with them in this part of the city...except any cops of course

2) The Tar-Pits - the tar pits used to be a big amusement park filled with dinosaur statues and bones......but after an old lady fell into one of the tar-pits and drowned to death in the tar....the palce was abandoned and its basically a place where killers dump their victims bodies...since nobody is ever going to find them in the tar pits....

3) The Farm - The farm is a piece of land far from the city area and its owned by the Roark Family....its also where Cardinal Roark's adopted son Kevin(The mute cannibal killer) stays and basiclaly the roarkes do all their dirty stuff in this place...

4) Kadie's Bar - The most popular night club in Sin City, its where all the good guys in our story hangs out and its where the super chio gyrating hooker Nancy(Jessica Alba) performs at....

Okay.....now here's a brief run down of the primary characters...the good guys,the bad guys and those tasty hookers....

1.) Marv (Mickey Rourke)- this guy is one huge,super tough and slightly mentally imbalanced brute.......he's also very simple and child-like in many ways....he was always to ugly to be able to even buy himself a prositute...so when a Prositute Goldie offered him sex for exchange for his protection and when she gets murdered.....Marv decides to kills his way to the truth and find out who killed her even it it means that he must die for it because of her one act of kindness towards him..

2) Hartigan (Bruce Willis) - The most noble character in Sin city, a straight and by the books, 60 year old Cop on his last day on the job as a policeman who decides to tie up one lose end before he quits: to save 11 yr old nancy Callahan(Jessica Alba) from getting raped by Roark Junior......and instead he gets framed and imprisoned for 8 years .....throwing away his job,his life,his wife, his reputation and everything by stopping Senator Roark's son and 8 years later Nacy Callahan who grows up to be the super chio bu and gets reunited with her knight in shining armore before he makes one last sacrifice for her...

3) Dwight (Owen Wilson)- Dwight is some guy with a very violent and shady past, some one who has killed before,a guy with bad lucky with girls,a soft spot for the ladies and is willing to go all out to help them at his own expense....

4) Gail (Rosario Dawson)- Yup..she's played by Rosario Dawson...the girl wif the huuge-ass boobs in Alexandre.....Gail is the leader of the Hookers in Old town and she specialises in S&m Stuff.....the former girlfriendof Dwight..

5)Nancy(jesscia Alba) - saved by Hrtigan from getting raped by Roark Junior 8 years ago by Hartigan and currently works at Kadie's Bar as their star stripper.......while studying Law part-time.........the Angel of Sin City ...

6) Miho (Devon Aoki)- The most dangerous Girl in Sin City.......dun really work as a hooker but as a protector and assasin for the hookers.......yup this mute,japanese assasin chops and slices up body parts faster then a hot knife through butter....

7) Shelly(Brittany Murphy )- Jackie Boy's ex girlfriend and current lover of dwight.........played by Brittany Murphy with an extremely cheesy accent..hahaha

8) Kevin (Elijah wood)- Mute,cannibalistic adopted son of Cardinal Roarke,hobbies include: nice walks along the beach,doing flying kicks and eating hookers and mounting their heads on walls....

9) Roark Junior AKA The Yellow Bastard (Nick stahl)- tried to rape Nancy 8 years ago and got his dick and hand blown off by hartigan, goes for extensive Gene therapy and other weird experiments to gorw back his shlong and the side effects left him smelling like shit,looking like shit and having yellow skin.......

10) Jackie Boy (Benicio Del Toro) - A woman-beating,slightly crazed Policeman who's Shelly's ex boyfriend......and is the catalyst for getting all the hookers into Old Town in troulbe when they kill him for pulling stupid shit in Old Town....

Ok...that was long.......basically all the character you need to know about without getting confused by the movie......and this movie's structure is unlike any movie I've ever seen.....its basically an anthology consisting of three main stories ....each spot-lighting a specific character in Sin City(Marv,Hartigan,Dwight) and telling you their story......and each story is not related to each other but is tied together by the fact that all of them live in the same city and some familliar background characters like Shelly(Britanny murphy) for example appears in all three of the stories.........so the structure of the movie is similar to Quentin Trantino's pulp fiction...where we move to a different main character and tell a complete story about that character and on the way these main characters might happen to be in the same places or bump into each other over the course of their own stories.....

The three stories are the Hard Goodbye featuring Marv (Mickey Rourke)as the lead, The Big Fat Kill featuring Dwight (owen wilson)as the lead and That Yellow Bastard featuring Hartigan (Bruce Willis)as the lead.........

Now the film itself is like almost 99% faithful to the Black and White Sin City Comics, its shot completely digitally in B& W with some spots of color on specific items like Hair or eyes and copies the various artwork and panels in the comicbook almost exactly in the film itself.....all the movie dialogue is taken straight from the comicbooks word for word and the director even used the comicbook art as storyboards ....very,very faithful comicbook film......all the violence and over the top stuff in the comics are not toned down or cut out at all.....you get to see multiple head decapitations(at least 3), shlongs getting blown off, shlongs getting ripped off, arrows through chests,sword through heads and chests, hands getting cut off or blown off, a on-screen electrocution by electric chair and lots of other violence.....the violence level is almost like Kill Bill's (Quentin tranatino also directed a small part of Sin City) and all of it is not too gory lar cos its stylized violence with blood being colored luminous white or yellow or black instead of red cos if everything is colored red,it'll be too gory liao.......so I think not many people will be turned off by the violence except the shlong getting ripped off part....that was super gross....hahaha..even for me....and you know me...I like gross dammit!!!

I think Comic readers are gonna love the film but General Movie Goers might be turned off by the weird 3 story structure of the movie and by the 1930's yo 40's hardboiled dialogue of the film.....cos the comics were inspired by the Noir,pulp detective and crime novels of the 30's and 40's of writers such as Mickey Spillane and David Mamet...so the dialgoue in the comics are purposely supposed to reflect the dialogue in these kinda noir,pulp novels.......where every single guy is a tough guy in a trenchcoat with full of internal monologue and tough guy dialogue........so the dialogue may seem weird and corny and supremely wordy cos all of the characters in the movie have internal monologues and you can hear them narrating and talking to themselves throughout the entire movie but well........I guess for Sin City....that's basically the point...to reflect thse kinda 1930's crime,noir fiction.....hahhaha...I thought the film was quite good lar,but its because its so faithful to the comicbooks.......although some dialgoue and the editing may be alittle weird at times.......basically if you like tough guys in trenchcoats talking tough and sexy gilrs dressed scantily in fish-net stockings,lingerie and bondage suits with swords and semi-automatic weapons this movie is the one for you....I give it 8.5/ 10 severed shlongs.....

Anyways....I'm still going to catch Sin City when it comes out in Singapore in May 17th.....its a very visually stylish flick and its gonna look great onscreen......May is gonna be another fun month man......lots of good movies.....Mr and Mrs Smith,Star Wars Revenge of the sith,Sin City,Initial D,Kingdom Of Heaven plus Batman Begins,war of the worlds and Fantastic four all coming out soon after that too.....oh yar and Felix's birthday also coming up in may......so...good stuff........

Now onto this coming Monday......it's rollerblading time for me and my buddies at East Coast again...hahaha....gonna be a lot of fallin.....errr...i mean fun......Thank God I already Know how to rollerblade that's all I gotta say...hahahha.....wow long ass post.......exceeding expectations on length and time taken to read a blog post is what I do best!!!

Your eyes do not deceive you.....its a Brand New post on my blog!!!.....hahhaa....and It hasn't even been one month yet......just like 3 weeks.....Boy is this my fastest update ever.....hhaha...well this post is gonna have some random ramblings of recent happenings and I'm gonna be reviewing a new movie I've watched recently....the Steamboy anime

Alright first of all, Last thursday ....my TB31 buddies and I FINALLY went on our first Outdoor trip To East Coast....I tell ya man....we've never done any outdoor-related activities ever for the past three years...whenever we go out...its usually just going to town to walk around or to catch a movie at Lido,Shop for gifts,Catch a movie at Lido and hmmmm......catch a movie at Lido..hahaha...this time we decided to just go East Coast for cycling just for a change.....and it was pretty damn fun I gotta say....

Felix and I went to meet Geraldine, Huiling and Wenjun at 12.30pm at SIM because they went there to send in their application forms for SIM.... and then the 4 of us excluding Wenjun took a train from Clementi to Paya Lebar to Meet Liang Jie...Wenjun din go because she's grounded by her mum for losing her handphone that she found again,which technically means she din lose her handphone but it seems she got grounded anyways for the Handphone which she lost but ended up not losing......still with me? Good....ahhahahah....so anyways when we met Ah Liang...we headed straight for East Coast and reached there roughly around 3pm...

Bloody Hell......when we reached ..we were like totally clueless which direction to go...so we went right and walked and walked and walked until ...well..until nothing....cos we din find no Bicycle rental shop......so we decided to ask a cyclist who passed by us and we found out we went in the wrong direction and the Bicycle shop was towards the left......so we had to walk back all the way....luckily on the way, we found a bicycle rental shop that we had completely passed by without knowing.....dammit......but as it turns out the rental rates at that shop were quite okay lar...$7 per hour and they gave you a free extra hour for each hour you rent.......good stuff so off we went...

So Anyways all of us except Felix could cycle and so needless to say there was a helluva lot of crashing and falling involved with felix..hahaha.....he was like the legendary stunt biker Evel Knievel man......grass,sand,stone signs......any terrain..u name it...he's crashed in it...hahahhaa...... but afer awhile he managed to get the hang of it.....sort of....well he managed to stay vertical for extended periods of time by the time the day was done.....hahaha.......towards the last 30 mins of our rental time...we cycled to one of the peers at East Coast........and dammit the Sea Breeze was effing awesome.......so damn relaxing and refreshing......leaning on the railing of the peer with the wind blowing in your face is one of the most relaxing feelings ever man...hahaha.....all of us were like so at ease and relaxed at the peer that we squandered 20 mins of our last 30 mins of rental doing nothing but relaxing at the peer........so for the last 10 mins, Me,Huiling and Liang Jie were like saying that we did'nt really cycle enough because early on during the cycling trip we keep having to trun back to check on felix when he fell or when he was lagging......so we heck care him and left with under the guidance of Garaldine...and we cycled like hell for the last 10 mins to get our money's worth...haahhaha

After all the cycling....we were all tired and hungry.....so we went to Kenny Roger's for our dinner.....good stuff......the side dishes like the Macaroni and Cheese and corn muffin plus their Pot Pie were awesome man....ain't nothing better then cycling your ass off and finishing everything with a solid meal and just relaxing and talking about crap about Ling Zhi Ying,Hentai,Bonsai kittens and other random stuff...hahaah......well everybody enjoyed the trip in the end so we are planning to go back to East Coast again to Rollerblade this time....and since Ah Liang,Felix and Huiling can't rollerblade.....I bet more hilarity is gonna ensue..hahahaha

So...I was just watching the NKF charity show.......and first of all I wanna say: What is up with your hair my dear,beautiful,tanned little Celest Chong??? !!Damn man...that curly,dog-inspired hair looks really bad on you...please change it back to your old,straightened hair......it's sad for me to see you looking like a poodle....

I gotta say I like the fact that the show is trying to help raise funds for the many kidney patients in Singapore,many whom have problems paying for the high costs of dialysis treatments that they have to go for on a very regular basis.....but at the same time I don't really agree with some of the Show's approach to get people to donate........its like they're trying to bribe People into being charitable or to donate by offering all sorts of monetary prizes and incentives......a $710,000 condominium,cars,ferrari lap topscash,muliple platinum credit cards valued at $10,000.........

I mean what's the freaking point of offering an assload of prizes and incentives to attract and bribe people to donate....dammit...Charity is Charity.......You donate because you want to, youempathise with the kidney patients, you donate from the goodness of your heart because you want to do your part to help them if not physically den by monetary means............you don't donate because you want to win cash,prizes or a condominium.....that totally defeats the purpose of charity.....because it sure as hell ain't charity if you expect you monetary contribution to generate or yield finacial returns....cos you supposed to give with no thoughts of any returns....THAT's Charity...damn..even My Twin Brother,Andy Lau said that he won't attend any more NKF shows cos he's not comfortable with the idea of them giving out prizes to people who donate...hahaha

I gotta say I nearly laughed my ass off...when they showed this advertisement of some previous Prize winner with him exclaiming in chinese that "The more you donate and call...the higher your chances of winning prizes.".......this is a charity show uncle.......not a goddamn lucky draw contest.....having the stars take time to entertain and attract people by performing stunts and skits and showing clips of those Kidney Patients are enough man....they should do away with the whole "Prize winning" aspect of the show.......cos those clips alone should be able to do the job of getting people to donate...some of those people are really in pretty bad shape man.....there was this one woman...sad case siar......she has kidney problems and her elderly mum just got kidney problems a year ago...and to top it off...her son is mentally inept....one setback after another.......sad stuff...

Also.....damn...some stuff is really really getting pretty bloody repetitive in these charity shows, year after year we see legions of hormonally challenged,screaming Teenage Girls attending the live show who are more interested in Boybands like Energy,F4,5566 and the rest of those monkeys then actually donating money or helping the Kidney patients......these are the same group of people who would probably spend hundreds of dollars calling in to vote for Sylvester Sim rather then making a phone call or two to the NKF.........also Now call me a cynic..but does anybody else realize that year after year....the actors always seem to have developed all-new types of phobia and personal fears whenever the show comes along.....fear of heights,fire,water....u name it..they're afraid of it.....hahhaa...damn not only that but the same old lines of dialogue is regurgitated every year...I'm serious...I've always said that Mediacorp's actors never act better then when they are on the NKF show....the expressions of pain,the long pause between words..the cliche dialogue.......its like some of them were given a script year after year.....here is my version of what the script would probably be like:

Scene: During The End of Performance

Step 1:Hunch over, show signs of visible fatigue (put hands on knee caps for dramatic effect if preferred)

Step 2:Continue with semi-loud panting

Step 3:Try to talk but make sure the words don't come out

Step 4: Bow head down to indicate tiredness, look up at host...bow down again(x2)

Step 5: Look at the host wearily and tell the host that you're ok with weary,tired,raspy voice( include light panting if possible)

Step 6: Deliver the dialogue in the most agonizing manner possible and make sure to spice it up with painful exppressions and grimaces to indicate physical discomfort.

Actor's dialogue(translated from chinese): " The pppain.........a..a.a.and discomfort..( Short dramatic pause).....that I..I...I.. endured from this performace( show painful expression and make sure to wince your eyes)...is Nnnothing....compared to.....the..the...pain that.....(grimace again and swallow saliva) the Kidney Patients....have suffered."

Hahhaha....damnit I'm serious......the line of Dialogues comes up so frequently and regularly year after year that I'm totally immune to it.....well okay maybe I should'nt be so skeptical and critical of the NKF shows...... some of their approaches to generating funds are questionable at best...but its no easy job trying to come up with all sorts of innovative crazy stunts year in year out and besides...the bottom line is all the cash will be used to help needy kidney patients around Singapore....I guess that's all that really matters....so go ahead Mediacorp stars...u go guys!!!go on and develop new types of whackyass phobias and regurgitate the same cliche dialogue for next year!!!hahahaha

Well Now that my Semi-rant about NKF is over..let's get down to the movie reviews, first up I just bought Katsuhiro Otomo's Steam Boy vcd (In case your wondering.....its not some x-rated story about A Boy who always get physical bodily reactiosn everytime he gets excited...steam in this show really means liquid based steam.....and not"Steeeeam!!")haha.......so anyway this is the most expensive Anime film produced in Japan to Date and features really great CGI and matte background paintings.....

Now for those of you who don't know.....Katsuhiro Otomo is one of the great Comic and anime legends in Japan......he's not as profilic as other guys like Hayao Miyazaki( Spirited Away,Princess Mononoke, The Howling castle,etc)....but he's undoubtedly one of the most respected comics creator in Japan......his past Works include stuff like Akira(widely considered the most popular Japanese anime ever,he wrote and drew the original manga and then adapted and directed it on film) and he was also involved in anime films like Spriggan,Metropolis and of course his current Movie; Steam Boy....

Anyway basically this story is set in the 1800's in Victorian England and its based on the prremise of an alternative world where Electricity was not yet created and what if Steam Energy remained the main form of power and fuel throughout the world........and the main Character is an inventive kid called Ray Steam.....who's father Eddy Steam and Grandfather Lloydd Steam (yup ..they're one excitable bunch of hormonally unbalanced males..haha) have created something called Steam Ball( Not a sex toy) which is this metal ball that contains near infinite amounts of steam power and can be used to power an entire nation for the company they work for The O'Hara Foundation, who are in the business of selling weapons to various countries..........so anyways Daddy Steam and Grandfather Steam have a difference in opinion on how the steamball should be used......Daddy Steam wants to use the technology to create weapons and spread such technology all over th world....while Grandfather Steam believes that the steamn ball should be only used for the betterment of mankind and for peaceful purposes......so anyway an accident happens in their factory and daddy steam gets badly injured and the Grandfather escapes with the steam ball......which he sends to the Main Character, Ray Steam for safekeeping............and so the O'hara foundation wants their property back and other various fractions like the British empire are also after it...and basically no side is to be trusted with the Ball.....

I think I'll give this film 8.5/10 because the animation is gorgeous...perfect blend of 2-d animation with CGI backgrounds and also air-brushed paintings.......plus the level of imagination and creativity are off the hook man.....all sorts of weird technological shit like Steam Powered Tractors that can travel on sea and Land, Steam Powered Submarines with legs, Steam Powered Knights, Steam Powered Gliders and of course the most magnificent one is this thing called the Steam Tower....which is basically this building that is powered by entirely steam and can freaking launch itlelf into the air through humnongous streams of steam......wow man the shot where the Tower's fake exterior breaks away as it slowly rises to the sky and moves through london leaving an endless trail of ice and snow( generating steam requires drawing heat away from the surrounding area..thus freezing everything in its path) is amazing man.....the scope and imagery is absolutely epic.........and thevisuals are great too.....the Tower exploding and crystalizing as it explodes blasting the whole of london with snow is some far out shit....hahaha....great stuff....much better then Ghost in the Shell 2:Man Machine interface.....where the plot was so totally incomprehensible and just basically involved hundreds of female Sex Androids gaining sentience and killing their customers....at least I think that was what the story was about....I'm still clueless.....hahahha

Oh yeah and Before I forget......big news siar...I finally got my Enlistment letter after days of anticipating and worrying.....I will be going to Pulau Tekong(Or as my Friends puts it...'Hell on Earth') on......*Drum Roll* Please.......10th September 2005......what an awesome date!!...exactly what I wanted......not only will I not miss out on the best movies coming out in May,June and July like Sin city,Star Wars Revenge of the sith,Fantastic four and Batman Begins......but I will be out already during months like November and December...an not only that having this 4 and a half months between April and September is just about enough time to do really major training and conditioning in preparation for NS....good stuff......very happy with the enlistment date siar....hahaha....

Well that's about it folks.......damnit....looking back at this post...it's still as long as ever, I swear man......I'm a great Project Lengthener but absolutely horrible blogger..ahhahaha.......Damn man......its not my fault if I was put on Earth to lengthen stuff and not shorten stuff!!!

Okay anyways this post would have been longer orginally......cos I wanted to review two movies...Steam Boy and Sin City......but seeing as how slowly the Sin Citytorrent file is downloading and how long this post is already getting...I decided to scrap the idea of reviewing Sin City.....goddamn slow siar the torrent file........I just re-installed my bit torrent and I know it takes a few downloads before the download speed increases....but this is ridiculous siar.......as I'm Typing this .....the file is only 48.3 % downloaded after a week!!....and the highest speed I have ever seen for this download is 2kb/s..........cos the normal speed fluctuates between the super fast lightning speeds of between 1 kb/s and 0kb/s...........damn...well.....stay tune for my in-depth Sin City Review...............current remaining time for torrent download is 132 days...........so I think It'll be up shortly ebfore Christmas 2005 or after I pass out from the Army......hahahha

Yup....I stole that title from some Hong Kong TVB drama serial...hahaha....well..this is gonna be a nice and reflective post that is less whacky and over-the-top than my normal posts........and will effectively show that besides being completely nonsensical I really do have depth and substance...at least I think so.....well...then again maybe not.....haha

As of Saturday,2nd April.....My three years in Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Business studies course is officially at an end.....three years of studying,hardwork,projects,nonsense,mockery,impersonations,skipping lectures, copying tutorials.....haha....not sure how I feel about it yet....maybe the extent of the changes hasn't really sunk in yet....well....it'll be weird not having to worry about projects, exams,quizes, tests, roadshows or mocking people or impersonating teachers and talking crap on a daily basis with my poly friends anymore....but at the same time I've got a huge load off my shoulders and this is the first time in like a year that I can actually have a good rest.......so its good but it ain't that good or its bad but it ain't that bad....hahahha...whichever...I'm giving myself a headache...haha

So first of all my final exams in Poly is finally over with...no more exams....zero,nadda,zilch,finito.....2 weeks of non-stop extensive studying is no joking matter man....staying at home everyday,11 hours of studying a day for 14 entire days.....its mentally and physically tiring.....takes alot out of me every time without fail........but you know I guess its only fair that I have to work so damn hard because on normal days I skipped one helluva lot of lectures...so I think of it as payback.....hahaha........dammit I wish I was some smart-ass, Straight "A's" whiz kid who can score super high marks with only minimal studying..cos I don't seem to be half as smart as people think I am....I have to do like 4 complete revisions for each subject before I can really remember everything clearly!!!! 4 freaking revisions....hahaha....not only am I not particularly smart I also take a long ass time to absorb ..hahhaa....so I just have to study and study and study until finally something sticks with me....its a hellish and super-meticulous way to study......but it does gets results I guess....

The final four exam papers were a mixed bag man.....International marketing and Buyer's Behaviour were terrible, Retail management was pretty okay and SMM was a freaking God's send...hahahaha.......freaking perfect paper..it's the kind of paper that will reward you if you really did study...excellent..hahaha.....the rest were not that good lar....wah lau...it really effing ticks me off when you studied like hell...some factors still prevent you from doing as well as you want to....like having not enough time to complete your answers or having to answer completely nonsensical questions that we can't answer even answer even if we read and devoured a whole textbook..(yes.. Hi Jonas.....I'm talking about you and your effing BB exam paper!!)....haiz but it's over..........so once again....mixed feelings..hahaha.....I think i ain't gonna do that bad...but ain't gonna do too well either...for certain papers.....yup...this mixed feelings thing is becoming an effing trend for me.....hhhaha

Well...next I would like to give myself a nice albeit delayed Pat on the back because the seeds of my labor has finally bore fruit....ya see during my attachment at F&N Coca-Cola, I was assigned by my manager in charge to design the Planagoram for the entire drinks section of Giant in Bedok, which was then a few months away from opening...and basically what the planogram is, is a visual map of the entire drinks section where I would decide stuff like the product mix on each shelf, the amount of shelf space for each type of drink and the classification of the various product categories for every single shelf in the drinks section based on first hand market research data(in %) on the most popular brand of drinks in the Singapore market.....and this would prove to be a major, time consuming assignment because there are like 3 aisles dedicated to the drinks section and there are like 8 gondolas in each aisle and there are 5 shelves on each gondola...so it was a heckuva lot of work....two almost 3 weeks of my time, I was sent to each of the four major Giant Branches in Turf City, IMM, Parkway and some other obscure place I forgot to take pictures of the drinks section, gondola by gondola, shelf by shelf......took like a total of 90 over picture and then i composited and arranged them in the actual sequential oder that they were arranged in at the Giant Outlets and based on this photographs and the market research data I determined the product mix and shelf space allocation..etc....layed out everything in pencil drawings, got them approved by the manager and did the final layouts in Microsoft excel.......3 weeks of hardwork...but I guess it paid off......I've been to Giant Bedok recently and the drinks section is pretty much the way I designed it.....nice to see the fruits of my labor...so....Well Done Barry!!...yup......haiz... getting mixed feelings again...cos I'm beginning to refer to myself in the third person now....haha......hmmm..Barry scared!!!

Anyways, Now I got to start making plans for what I'm going to do for the holidays and think about What in the world I wanna do after two years in camp.......haiz... I think I,like many of my fellow contemporaries and peers have tunnel vision.....we just focus on the immediate things like passing our exams or who are we gonna date...rather then looking at the big picture like what future goals or directions we wanna pursue.......chiar lat siar....some people have like everything planned out, where they wanna study,what job they want, what country they want to work at or migrate to and what kind of lifestyle they want to pursue,when they want to start a family,etc.......EVERYTHING for like the next 10 years barring unforeseen circumstances......Me?? I got like no immediate goals other than passing my exams and getting my diploma..and watching Sin City...hahhaha...kinda pathetic siar now that I think of it......because without any direction or goal to work towards to...you'll be like a blind person...moving around and trying to find your way in the dark.....now I know how Ray Charles feels......cos like him, I can't see SHIT!!!...hahaha.....gotta try to force myself to think of what I wanna do siar .....or I'm gonna end up like the million of other corporate wage slaves,who lead their mundane lives, eat their stupid packed lunches and do the same reptitive thing over and over again for the rest of their life until they retire or konk off......damn....and I better start soon...My Spider-sense is tingling!!!!

I had a interesting phone conversation with my old sec school buddy, Sakthi Ganapathi ( Try repeating that for another ten times and twice as fast!!..Damn banglas and their tongue-twisting names...)....so anyways he is doing well, he's in the commandos unit and he will be going overseas in abt 6 months time for further studies and basically this guy is like the indian version of me lar...laid-back,chin chai and kind...yes....that's not a typo...KIND..Haha...but the only difference is he has his whole future worked out man.....like to the tiny details.....a snippet of our conversation went something like this:

Sakthi:" Hey chinese.....haven't been seeing you for a while....how are things? Just Wanna meet up with you before my mission to Brunei and going to Australia ."

Me:" Australia?? Why you go Australia...go back India lar Bangla....construction workers don't need a University degree in cementing mixing and brick laying...haha...the army is sending you for your studies on their dime or what?"

Sakthi: " Yar....I am allowed to go for my University studies after the end of this year...but during the holidays for each school term I will have to return to Singapore and serve out my remaining time there....I've already send in my applications and stauff and everything is done."

Me: " Oh ok....how long will you be studying there?"

Sakthi: " I'll be studying there for 2 years, coming back during the holidays to serve out my army term and I'm going to be staying there for the next 2 years after that at least, wanna get an IT related Job, maybe as a website designer or what....and my family might be planning to migrate to Australia to join me once everything is settled down or I might go back to Singapore after 2 years of working experience planning to stay in Singapore and maybe I'll start thinking about settling down by then....what about you bro??"

Me: " me?...well...basically my goals are....(Long,undramatic and clueless pause)..........well...for the short term..I wanna finish watching My Batman Animated DVD boxed set and my Incredibles DVD's special features and my long term golas involve watching ....Sin City, Batman Begins and Star Wars Revenge of the Sith and maybe Fantastic four......and that's about it...have to start making Long term plans and goals again after watching Star wars..hahha"

Sakthi: " * Kanina lar Chinese...you're still the same....talking crap all the way like we did back in sec school..hahah...aye dun joke lar monkey....what you wanna do in the future man?"

**Me:" ........I......I...well.........Aye Tambhi!!...damn lar... I still gotta revise for my exams.....you cutting into my study time lar....I'll catch up with you again....meet up wif you before your trip...good luck dude."

Well I think I think its good to have long term goals like him, gives you direction and stuff...on the other hand I also think that time is transient and change is a constant ...so it is better not to think to far ahead since unforeseen circumstances and other situational factors happen on a regular basis and will just knock everything out of whack...for the time being I think I'm just gonna enjoy while I can lar...at least for the next few months....not gonna find work probably because well...I still have a whole freaking lifetime left to work once I get out of university or what in the future....so I'm gonna enjoy myself,indulge myself and pamper myelf for wat precious little time I have left....before i get shaved bald and sent into camp......and no.....it isn't what you think....My parents are not sending me into some jewish concentration camp to be gassed to death for messing up the house up during my study week.....hahha...although I think they were tempted to yesterday when I raided the house for a midnight snack....and ate this can of New Moon "Buddha Jump Over the Wall" soup that they bought for somebody...who apparently wasn't me...hahah

Well...which brings me full circle....Poly life has ended and another stage of life is beginning....exciting new possibilities and uncertain times ahead.....both looking forward and dreading it.....yup..* this is the part where I insert the "I have mixed feelings" line*......but I'm gonna defy your expectations by not doing so...haha....I'm gonna miss the time I spent in poly, its probably gonna be one of the last time we can have such a long term,care-free extended period of constant mockery and impersonations before the working life....

I'm going to miss all the ...mon..err....teachers that I have had the honor to be taught by during this three years....Florence and her wicked witch nails and voice, Alphonsus and his stupid Bowl cut, Sonny and his 90 degrees (Or as dear ol' Sonny would have said nine Jiroh degrees) hand actions and his constant finger smelling, Mr Kay and the way he pronounce "Germaaaaaine", Elaine Cheng and her completely pissed off look everytime felix tells her a cold joke, Ng Lai Soon and his fetish for Mcdonald's Coca-cola, Rosa Koh and her naiveness for believeing that Felix really had a toothache, Lucy Tan and her schizoprenic split personality, Roy for his wonderful comb-over and irish accent, Bernard Randall and his.....his...height, Mr See Khay soh and his unopened eyes, Miss Marie Aria and her rose tatoo and her pronounciation of "Gay Thai", Miss Wong and her crazy mood swings, Koh Poh Tee and her school girl bag and saggy,non-existent....er....nvm,Goh Siao Meng and his stuffed-crust pizza lips, Robert Yow and his cool mouth action, Koh cheng Mum and her black face and Chow Yun Fatt impersonations with her jacket slinged over her shoulders, Ng Mun Kiong and his ridiculous sales calls, Miss Tan and her uncanny resemblance to Miss wong, Gilbert and his constant nipple scratching and crotch-staring( his own!!), Wong Fook Sun for looking like Baloo in Jungle book and his obsession with Mustafa, Miss Ng and her super hyper activeness, Mr Yik and his guidance and his super 360 degrees techno dance hands, Jonas and...er.....he din do shit for anybody....sooo...moving on....

Yeah and I'm also Gonna miss all my Poly friends...but that one is not so bad...cos we still meet up quite regularly for our usual hours long crapping sessions......oh yeah and I'm also gonna miss supporting characters in Ngee ann Ploytechnic like Buck Tooth Man and his.....well...Buck teeth!!, Pong Pong Aunty and her food confiscating ways, Sharpie Brow and here super bushy, muff-like brows, William Hung Lookalike and his well....face and my favorite character to date Ah Yong!!!!....without her the world would be a brighter place....filled with lesser fat jokes and double-chin shaking......I thank her for enriching my life by simply existing......she's brought TONS of Joy to Me,felix,Liang Jie, Huiling, Candy and the rest.... and It is with a HEAVY heart that I bid her goodbye.....may you and Willy finally be Free!!!*

And.......c'mon!...You did'nt really think I would forget about Poop Face did you..........ahhahahaa.......c'mon...I've been talking about that beeyotch from day 1 in my blog....you din really think I will stop now ..did you?? As for her.........err.....damn...let's be nice for once....let's just say that some people you miss and some people you just wanna thank God for being rid of them.......but all religions teach us to be more forgiving, to forgive and forget and so the next time I see her...I will show her a sign of my forgiveness.......what sign you say? Its called The Finger!!!!hahahhaha...

Well that's it for now......but who knows I might update this blog in the future on a more semi-regular basis since I have more free time now.....what can I say.. stranger shit have happened...hahaha...like SY becoming vegetarian...hey wait a minute that did happen!!haha
